½ purple onion coarsely chopped
4 tbsp. Walnuts
½ tsp chilli powder or cajun
¼ red pepper coarsely cut
4 tbsp lentil flour
2 tbsp chia seeds soaked in ¼ cup of water
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 cup cooked chickpeas
1 cup cooked red beans
salt and pepper
2 tbsp olive oil for frying the chips and oiling the baking pan
2 tbsp crushed tomatoes with a pinch of chilli powder as a deep for the chips
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius
Soak the chia in the water for 10 min.
Peel the kohlrabi and cut into thin stripes – like chips
Line a baking tray with baking paper and brush with olive oil.
Place the kohlrabi stripes on the baking tray with enough space to roast, leaving space for the hamburgers.
Brush the kohlrabi stripes with 1 tbs. of olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
Grind the onion, walnuts and chilli powder In a food processor.
Add the pepper, soy sauce, soaked chia and lentil flour and grind again.
Add the chickpeas and beans and grind it all to an even mixture.
Check the seasoning add add salt or soya sauce if needed.
Form into 2 big hamburgers.
Place the hamburgers carefully beside the kohlrabi.
Bake 20 min. until done.
Divide into 2 portions and serve with the crushed tomatoes deep.
